Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for many years, and I always enjoy bringing new (to me) concepts to life. I started creating these custom whiskey barrel cabinets in 2021 when I was asked to build a cabinet for an auction that was being held to raise money for my son’s school. I realized quickly how neat these barrels are, and all the cool projects that I could make with them. So here I am, making more cabinets, and implementing new ideas to utilize these whiskey barrels.
As I get a hold of more barrels to work with, I will investigate creating more unique whiskey barrel decor. For now, the list of my products is in the main menu and has limited availability. I create stock inventory for anyone who likes the models that are displayed, and I can also create custom barrel products for individuals who have specific needs.
The pricing for custom projects may differ from the stock models that I have available.
Whiskey Barrel Decor Barrel Sizes
I generally work with two sizes of barrels, but this may change in the future. The sizes that I have most readily available are the 53-gallon barrels. I also have a smaller supply of 30-gallon barrels for customers who are working with a limited amount of space.
The dimensions for a 53-gallon barrel (Left) are as follows:
Height: 35.25”, Width at Base: 21.75”, Width at Center: 25”
The dimensions for a 30-gallon barrel (Right) are as follows:
Height: 31.50”, Width at Base: 18.50”, Width at Center: 21.25”
It is important to measure your space and make sure that the barrel will fit where you are wanting to place it. The width of the barrel at its center is a very important measurement since it will determine how much space is ultimately needed around the barrel for it to fit properly. These barrels are obviously not perfect cylinders. They flare out at the center which requires more space to accommodate it.
At this time, we do not have a cost friendly method to ship long distances. Any long distance shipping would significantly increase the price. We do however, offer local delivery options for an added delivery fee.
The most cost-effective option for you would be to come and pick out the whiskey barrel décor product so that you can ensure that you can see the side-by-side comparisons with other stains and customizations. We are available by appointment only and if you decide that you would like to have a custom project created, just let us know and we will work with you on the design!
We have had requests for unmodified whiskey barrels. We do not have a set price for this due to the fluctuating prices of used barrels. Some barrels are in better shape than others, and they are more expensive to purchase. If you would like us to provide any modifications to the barrels such as cleaning up rust on the bands, or sanding the exterior, we would need to charge to cover that work.
